Recorded April - December 1997 in Kelowna B.C. All sounds from analog sources with the exception of a compact disc on track five.

Originally released on CD by Scratch Records (Scratch30) in November of 1999, where Scratch made comparisons’ to Oval, Stockhausen, Pierre Henry, Raymond Scott and Can.

As half of the group Vote Robot, 1997 was a busy year creatively for French Paddleboat as Conversions In Metric was recorded at the same time as Rome Loves Tan (Union Pole Cassettes) and closely followed the first Vote Robot LP on Catsup Plate Records.

Digitally restored in 2020 by Scott August and Remastered by Josh Stevenson at Otic Sound in Vancouver, BC Canada.
